Obviously STILL PREGNANT!
Just so ya know, the doctor wouldn't strip my membranes but set me up to be induced on thursday. I was pretty mad but now I only have two days and at least we can plan around it! Thursday at 730 I go in to have my water broken and hopefully a baby before Friday!

How to go into Labor...
Due to my family's tendency to have babies around 37 weeks and always before their due dates I planned to already be holding my son. Well, I go to the doctor for my 38 week appointment tomorrow, and I am soooooo ready to be unpregnant!!!! Since 36 weeks I have been trying to get him and there is no such luck, after my 37 week appointment, where my doctor refused to strip my membranes until 38 weeks, I was determined to prove to her that despite her medical training she was wrong and Charlie is ready to come out. I have walked quite a few miles and on Friday I cleaned and scrubbed the house like crazy, took my dog on a really long walk, got peppermint tea(YUCK), and drank castor oil (more yuck) and some other stuff, ahem, anywho didn't work!! Not a peep, just the regular contractions that aren't strong enough to do anything. Here's to hoping tomorrows appointment leads to a baby!

Baby Shower and FULL TERM
My best friend Kat so graciously threw me a great baby shower up in Idaho Falls. I can't believe how great family and friends I have! After the party there were only a few items we needed to pick up and now we are ready in that sense, my sister Katie gave me a bunch of clothes that her son RJ has grown out of and now we won't have to get Charlie clothes until he is 9 months! Thanks to all those who came to the shower! Here's the only pictures I took because I forgot to once everyone arrived!

Katie and RJ testing out my Mei Tei!
So another doctors update, I am 37 weeks and I thought I would be evicting and meeting Charlie but no such luck! I'm only 2cm, same as last week, and 70% effaced a little more than last week. I have been having contractions all week and I can feel him low down but I guess he wants to stay in! I tried to convince my doctor to strip my membranes but she said she won't until I'm 38 weeks. So I guess more walking and hoping that he'll come out!

The Rollover
So most of you have heard what happened. I came up to Idaho in our Honda to get it fixed and get Suzie fixed and stay the weekend for my baby shower (later post!). Larin wasn't going to come up but hasn't seen his family in so long he decided to make the trip even though he wouldn't get to stay long, so he headed up a day after me. I was just making me some dinner when my phone rang and it was Larin. He said "I just rolled the Durango"
"Huh, what?"
"I just rolled the Durango"
"Are you okay, were you wearing your seatbelt!!??"
There was a storm that had iced over I-15 in between Malad and Pocatello and Larin hit a patch and then hit a patch of dry road launching the SUV over a lane and rolling into the center median! He kicked the door open found his army first aid kit, wrapped his bleeding hand and found his phone and called me, his parents and his boss! Apparently they train those army boys pretty well. When he arrived at the Malad hospital they were very suprised that he was in such good condition and had taken care of his own bleeding. No broken bones, just lots of bruises, a few goose eggs on his head, and glass all over, also his bad back is acting up again. I was freaking out and having horrible cramps the whole ride to see him but when we walked in and he was okay I yelled at him, are you trying to make me have this baby!! The nurse said I better not go into labor because they don't deliver babies since it is such a small hospital and I told her if he is going to come out they are going to be delivering babies there. Luckily once I calmed down a little the cramping stopped, good thing too because Kathrine would have been very mad if I had my baby the day before the shower! We decided Larin is a lucky unlucky person considering if he had driven the honda instead he wouldn't be here! Here are the pictures of the durango, we are glad this car took the rolling so well!

Getting closer, let the countdown begin!
So I haven't blogged in awhile sorry! I am now 34 weeks and have just 3 left until I'm full term! Last doctors appointment little Charlie was 4 lbs 9 oz and looks like he has his dad's beautiful full lips! They say that when you get this far along the baby moves less but Charlie is still being an acrobat, sometimes it looks like he is knocking on my belly like "let me out!" HUGE HUGE HUGE!
I had a little get together/baby shower for friends down here in Layton and I got tons of diapers and cute little outfits, of course all clothes that small look soooo cute! My mom came down and spoiled her new grandson(and me) it was nice to talk pregnancy fears and labor worries with her and now I have a lot of the little things I needed like bottles and binkys and so forth. The nursery is just missing a few things so I guess I can post pictures now. It's monkey themed!
I made the things that say Charlie and now I want to get a shelf for the empty space.
I sewed those curtains and those baby slings all by myself, I was so proud of me!
I just love this wall because I cannot wait to fill this frame with pictures of my baby, and of course he is our little monkey! On the floor beneath this is a wicker basket filled with stuffed monkeys! If he was born now we could handle it I think but I want to make sure he is nice a chubby so three weeks to go!
Hiding her naughtiness under the table
So just a quick little post about our dog miss Suzie. I think she knows something is up. The other day she made me so mad, it was like she was trying to get me angry. I woke up, she pooped on the floor. I left her alone for a minute, she chewed the remote control and then tried to hide it in her kennel! I had to take a shower and came out she had gotten the hall closet open and taken out the shoes and ripped all the coats down and spread them everywhere! I had just about had it and put her in the kitchen with the gate up for a few hours. I let her out when I got done running errands and taking her on her walk we came back in and PEED on the floor right in front of me, she hasn't peed inside in so long and I had to clean up and it was stinky. And whenever she does something naughty she knows and will hide and try to get out of it by looking all cute. I am immune to her cutenes. She better not do this when Charlie comes!

32 weeks
Just a quick update, went to the doctor and weighed the same I did last time!! Probably because they weren't letting me eat anything! I talked to the doctor and was like um, I don't have gestational diabetes, my blood sugars have been fine. She said, oh yeah, it looks like your probably just sensitive to sugar....GRRRR, Yeah, I knew that like three weeks ago when this all started but whatever. I scared myself today by counting the days until I am 37 weeks and there are only 35 days, and I was thinking wow, I've been waiting for him to come and now I'm not so sure I'm ready! Larin says it is too late now!
The cold that everyone has been getting has made it to our house, it started in Larin and I thought I had dodged it and then woke up a few days ago coughing.
Robert and Rachel and their family were passing through and asked if they could drop in, I said sure if they wanted to brave the sickness, but apparently it had already been passed around their family. It was nice to see them, little Spencer is so grown up now, I say that all the time but him and Robert were playing and talking and I am like he is just like his dad! I'm glad family stops by since it is so hard for us to get up to Idaho with Larin's schedule.
Our apartment complex finally chipped out the ice in our area of the parking lot and what do ya know, we had a winter storm come through and the sun doesn't hit our area so it's all piled up again!
Anyways, no pictures this time, I really am trying to get the nursery all put together! There's our past two weeks in a nutshell!

Week 30 and Dr. update.
Well, I didn't pass my three hour glucose test, surprise! I have to go meet with the diabetic diet counselor, even though my fasting and my three hour sugars were well within normal I guess the others were not. I have DIR, for those who don't know anything about sugar and insulin release let me explain where I fall. If you have type I diabetes your body doesn't make insulin, if you have type 2 diabetes your body makes insulin but it is not functional, and DIR, which stands for delayed insulin release, means my insulin works fine and my body makes it, not diabetes at all. I just don't release it right away or in small amounts so my blood sugar goes a little high my body produces insulin and instead of releasing a little at a time to keep my sugars normal it waits and releases a large amount causing my sugars to drop really low. One time it got to 35 and it is not supposed to go below 70, so if they treat me for diabetes and give me insulin....bad idea! I have felt a lot better since I got pregnant and haven't fell too low in awhile and I really don't want to give up on my cravings!! Hopefully I can convince the counselor. Anywho, afterwards I was a little upset and told Larin that I might as well get an Icee since I might not get one later, and the Icee machine was broken!!! Bad day! Here's the week 30 belly picture, 7 weeks left by my count.....
Starting to gain weight other than my belly! 17 pounds so far! We are finally getting somewhere on getting all the stuff for Charlie. Isn't it crazy that for a baby, tiny little thing, you have to buy I'm gonna say like 900 different items! I don't want to post pics of the nursery until it is completely done, but it is looking so cute. My new thing is finding cheap but nice things for the baby I get soo excited when I get a good deal. Larin doesn't really like buying stuff used since it's our first baby so a lot of the stuff is new and costly but I found a travel system, that's the stroller, the car seat and the car seat base for $50! And it doesn't look used at all and I got a military discount, saweet.
I love it! I just had to post a picture because I am so proud of myself. Lastly, here's the latest picture of Charlie, he is sooo cute!
Okay so I'm a little biased, but come on look at him!
